I’ve been working up here in Valdez, AK guiding helicopter skiing and ‘living the dream’ since the 1st of February. While I would never venture to say that what I’m doing up here isn’t the experience of a lifetime… I thought I might share a few photos of the bipolar world of helicopter assisted skiing in Alaska.

I’m headed back home to Crested Butte today for a quick visit, before the next half of the season begins and training for the AMGA Ski Mountaineering Guides Exam and exam in April. I’m hoping all the experience with diesel fuel, wand wrapping, and standing-by for good weather will help me pass the exam…
